Access
Containers get in.
Parcels get out.
Cross-border stock mostly arrives by sea. Containers come off the ship at Taipei Port or Keelung Port and run down Provincial Highway 61 along the west coast straight to Dayuan, without crossing a city centre; heading north or south afterwards, National Highway 2A connects to National Highway 1. Full-size container trucks get onto the site and turn around on it, so nothing has to be transloaded onto smaller vehicles outside — one less handling of every shipment, which adds up.
